Liquor Control Victoria (LCV) have reached out to Spirits Victoria with a request to give our members some feedback from their inspectors.  They are finding some holders of Producers Licences who sell their products at promotional events (such as farmers markets, etc) have not kept a record of the events they attend.

You must keep records of all events you have attended if you hold a producer’s licence with an approval to sell your own alcohol products at promotional events, such as farmers’ markets and festivals.

You must record:

  • name of event
  • date
  • location
  • time period alcohol is served (must be between 7am and 8pm).

Using this template supplied by LCV and keeping it in a folder will make it easier to show Liquor Control Victoria inspectors or Victoria Police during an inspection. Remember to take the folder with you to all events.

In addition, you should also have the following available during an inspection:

  • liquor licence and required signage displayed clearly visible to the public
  • copies of RSA certificates for everyone supplying alcohol at the event.

More information on selling liquor at promotional events can be found by visiting Liquor Control Victoria’s website.
